The United States of America was crowned the most positive country for 2012 by Daily Positive (D+), an exclusive online media for positive news, from MelbourneAustralia, that publishes positive news from all the countries of the world. D+ introduces a list of 10 most positive countries annually. The initiative of World's Most Positive Countries recognizes countries around the globe with most positive initiatives and actions accomplished in the current year.
Other countries that made it to the list are EnglandChinaJapanGermanyCanadaFranceIndia, and Sweden. The list was prepared based on a global expert panel rating, D+ journalists-volunteers rating, a global social media survey, and the number of positive news entries in 2012 in the D+ website.
Few notable achievements of the USA in 2012 were domination in Nobel Prizes, successful landing of Mars Rover of NASA, showing signs of economic recovery, continuous improvement in medical science, such as, performing most extensive full face transplant to date.
Uplifting news for the Americans; acknowledging all the positive actions and achievements of all Americans in 2012. The news came at a time when the Eastern coast of the USA including New York City being battered by a severe hurricane and ahead of national election day.
Apparently, based on online search during the time of this writing, the multifaceted research and analysis to publish the list of 10 Most Positive Countries of the World based on positive news collection is unique and is the first of its kind in the world. Compared to conventional news media, along with regular journalists, armature individuals can also share news on D+. However, to maintain high standard each-news is verified and checked by subject-matter-experts. The World’s Most Positive Countries 2012 presentation ceremony was held on 25 November 2012 at The University of Melbourne.
Upon announcing the top 10 winners of the World’s Most Positive Countries for 2012, Dr. Arif Jubaer, founder of D+, stated “I feel that D+ is making a positive impact on people by reporting positive news. The initiative of World’s Most Positive Countries will encourage individuals and countries to take more positive actions for a positive future.”
